Total Men Skin Care Information:

Do men need skin care? Of course they do. They have every right to look neat, clean and handsome. Some tips that can help them sail beautifully through this festive winter season.

Hygiene: it is a must to wash your face two to three times a day. You could use a cleanser. Men with oily skin could use a soapy cleanser or a face wash, for more mature and dry skin a cream based face wash is fine.

Green Tea: take 2-3 cups of green tea a day as it helps to detoxify and provide antioxidants that ward off signs of ageing.

Trifala Powder: another easy way to a healthy, glowing skin is to take half a teaspoon full of trifala powder at night with half a glass of water. This helps cleanse the system of all toxins that accumulate inside our body. Regular use of trifala powder helps remove dullness and improves the glow of the skin.

Citrus Fruits: remember to grab two oranges in a day. This provides the daily dose of vitamin c, which protects from blemishes and freckles.

Skin Care: investing ten minutes a day will go a long way in keeping your skin glowing, healthy and young. It is essential to cleanse tone and moisturize your skin morning and night. In case of some problems like blemishes, freckles, pigmentation, dark circles, acne or wrinkling you should consult your dermatologist and treat the problem.

Body Care: it is important to oil your body especially in the winter months. Best approach is to brush the entire body with a soft towel for ten minutes, then rub olive or seasame seed oil on the body with fast strokes for ten minutes, then have a bath with a body wash or your favorite soap. This ritual can be a weekend affair.

Sun Protection: younger acne prone oily skin does well with lactealamine. Sunscreen provides protection for 2 hours, so wash and reapply after 2 hours. For more mature and dry skin, apply sunscreen with SPF 40/45 before going out. Maximum sun damage is between 12 to 4 pm in winter and 10 to 5 pm in summer, therefore remember to protect yourself specially during this time.

Exercise: everyday 30 minutes of brisk walking followed by 10 minutes of breathing exercise three days a week goes a long way in improving the health as well as the skin.
